Our recommendation
The Witcher is a story-driven RPG created by CD Projekt RED, based on the Witcher series of books written by Andrzej Sapkowski. It is the first entry to the Witcher videogame series, with its latest sequel being The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. Players control Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter, who recently lost his memory and is dragged into a conspiracy that threatens his whole order.
Witcher is an RPG that combines a somewhat linear story that is shaped by your decisions, along with progress based combat with the possibility of using magic and potions. It offers a progression system for your character. While Witcher 1 was praised for its story and attention to detail, many fans feel dislike its clunky combat and movement system (especially in modern times).
Witcher was recieved positively, with reviewers praising its story, depth of RPG elements and characters, though criticizing its clunky interface and unfriendliness to the user.
We recommend playing it if you are not discouraged by 2007 interface and production values. If you get through the initial discouragment, you will find the story many fans praise the game for. The only way to really buy it these days is as the Enhanced Edition, which adds many improvements to the original, such as new animations, sidequests, fixing all bugs and so on.
There are no DLC for The Witcher.

Key resellers are sites that sell game keys at (usually) much lower prices than traditional retailers. They do this through a combination of ways, like selling keys that come in a bundle, that were on a sale and many other ways.
The reason why we separated them from traditional retailers is that these stores have been the subject of a divisive discussion for a long time.
The reason we include them is that you can buy keys on these sites usually for very big discounts, sometimes quite ridiculously cheap. In 99 % of cases, they will work the same as a much more expensive key would. For many people, especially people from countries with lower standards of living, this can mean big savings that have a significant impact on their life, while also playing the game and not resorting to piracy.
If you are buying on these stores, we have a few recommendations to follow:
