Our recommendation
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an RPG developed by CD Projekt RED, the third title in the Witcher series. It is based on the books of Andrzej Sapkowski. Witcher 3 is an open-world RPG where you control a superhuman mutant called Geralt of Rivia. His missing dear friend and daughter-like figure Ciri is said to have returned after long years missing, and a force called the Wild Hunt is following her. Geralt must gather up all his tracking skills and resourcefulness to get to her in time.
The gameplay is played from a third-person view, where players control Geralt explore a giant world filled with sidequests and hidden things to do, progress their character and immerse themselves in the lore. Aside from the main story or side story mission, Geralt can also fulfill Witcher contracts, which are long monster-hunting and tracking quests.
The game has been hugely praised, particularly because it makes you feel so immersed in the world and the story - the locations feel like they were there hundreds of years ago, the characters have deep motives, are exciting and varied. In every part of the world, you can find stories and events that further flesh out the world and make you think about it long after you've turned it off. It makes you feel like you are part of it, and like it would still be there even if the main character didn't exist. With the massive size of the world come enormous time requirements, though - mainly because some of the best experiences in the world are not in the main story, yet require you to explore and often surprise you. The game is also a host to many bugs, yet the vast majority were fixed with patches.
We recommend The Witcher 3 to anyone who is enamored by the idea of a massively open world, yet which doesn't lose the detail of smaller ones. Also, prepare to spend a lot of time in this game.
Hearts of Stone adds a new, 10-hour spanning storyline featuring new characters and locations, a new game mechanic called runes and a number of sidequests with an expanded game world to explore.
Blood and Wine adds a 20-hour spanning storyline with new characters and quests, a new part of the game world with content for potentially another 30 hours, with many sidequests. Also adds new abilities for the main hero, new armor sets and new monsters to kill.

Key resellers are sites that sell game keys at (usually) much lower prices than traditional retailers. They do this through a combination of ways, like selling keys that come in a bundle, that were on a sale and many other ways.
The reason why we separated them from traditional retailers is that these stores have been the subject of a divisive discussion for a long time.
The reason we include them is that you can buy keys on these sites usually for very big discounts, sometimes quite ridiculously cheap. In 99 % of cases, they will work the same as a much more expensive key would. For many people, especially people from countries with lower standards of living, this can mean big savings that have a significant impact on their life, while also playing the game and not resorting to piracy.
If you are buying on these stores, we have a few recommendations to follow:
